Please find below some useful information to help support you with consignments arriving via the Port of Dover.
Imports of high-risk food not of animal origin (HRFNAO)
All HRFNAO consignments consigned from the EU will be subject to border checks as outlined in Regulation 2019/1793.
Dover BCP is approved for HRFNAO which are not subject to temperature control.
If you import these products through the Port of Dover, the person responsible for the load must pre notify us at least one working day in advance of the expected arrival of the consignment. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Notification should be made via IPAFFS and a CHED-D with Part 1 completed must be submitted.
Your import will require a documentary check and may be subject to an identity and physical check, including sampling.
Imports of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishery products consignments
For imports of IUU fishery products that come through the Port of Dover please continue to notify us via PHILIS and IPAFFS two working hours prior to arrival.
Importing Plastic Kitchenware from China and Hong Kong
Plastic kitchenware from China and Hong Kong, consigned from the EU, will be subject to the controls laid out in assimilated Regulation 284/2011. Please note that PDDs endorsed in the EU will no longer be accepted.
Importers must pre notify and submit the PDD/test report(s) for documentary checks to be completed and sampling, which takes place at a frequency of 10%.
Notification should be made via PHILIS and a PDD submitted via email 24 hours in advance of arrival of the consignment.
Imports of Organic products
Please continue to pre notify us as normal for rest of the world organic consignments.
Notification should be made via PHILIS six hours in advance of arrival of the consignment.
The pre-notification and provision of Certificates of Inspections for organic products from the EU, EEA and Switzerland are not notified until February 2025 .
Charges
If you are importing any of these products via the Port of Dover, please ensure you have set up a PHILIS finance account and added funds to cover charges.
